The State of Florida permits each County to collect a 9-1-1 User Fee on the phone bills of the telephone service customers within the County. Under Florida State Statute, the revenues collected from the 9-1-1 User Fee can only be used for specific expenses directly related to the E-911 Systems and are audited annually.

At no time are these funds used to supplement law enforcement or fire fighting efforts.
